MER Practitioner in Training

My name is Anke Scheibe-Thijssen. I was born in 1977 in the Netherlands. Interested as I was in medicine, I studied Biomedical Sciences in my home country. Soon, I found out, I needed to work with people and added an education as a biology teacher. I loved the teaching, which I started in the Netherlands and continued doing in Cologne, Germany. During the pregnancy with my third child, I came in touch with Craniosacral Therapy. I fall in love immediately. As my youngest was 2 years old, I intensively started on my path as a craniosacral therapist, doing the ‘Heilpraktiker’/health practitioner exam parallel. As trauma and developmental wounds tend to show up in sessions, I got myself more and more familiar with this fascinating field of wisdom. I work in my own practice in the Center of Cologne. A few years ago, I started the seminar on attachment wounds and find myself wondering: “How did I work before I got in touch with all this knowledge?” It is so very helpful to deeply understand where wounds have their starting point and how to come to a way to heal them. During the time of the seminar, I had a bicycle accident, in which I broke my neck. The healing of the bone was fantastic, but my muscles stayed very tense for months. That is when I trustfully gave myself in the hands of Satyarthi for a MER session. It was at the end of the 2nd session, that I knew: I needed to learn this!!! I would love to be able to offer this gift to many people.
And this is, what I do now - with LOVE – in my practice in Cologne.
